My name is Naomi Shiek (pronounced CHIC).
I create papercut ketubot for private clients in the Nouveau Judaica style.

What is a ketubah, you ask? A KETUBAH is a decorative marriage covenant used and exhibited in Jewish, non-denominational and non-traditional weddings and commitment ceremonies wherein the couple's vows to each other are declared.

Kate Mathis for Country Living
The Dandelion invitations and reply card were conceived after seeing this photo to the left on the Seesaw blog. It reminded me that as a kid I lived near a field of dandelions and that each season I and my sister went out to blow kisses at the dandelion flowers and watch the seeds spread in the wind. We used to call them "grandpa flowers". There's a folktale about that, I just don't remember what it is. But I still find them incredibly romantic flowers, in that sweet nostalgic way of childhood memories.
