What is a ketubah, you ask? A KETUBAH is a decorative marriage covenant used and exhibited in Jewish, non-denominational and non-traditional weddings and commitment ceremonies wherein the couple's vows to each other are declared.

Custom | Our Woodland Scroll

This is a commission from January of 2015. And while it's not a ketubah, it does not stray far: the commission was for a vow renewal ceremony.

The brief was simple: portrait orientation, forest scene, some flowers, and the couple's cat and dog. I made two other versions before the clients chose this, and as always they were right! This is one of those times when I don't know how to name the papercut, so I'm just going to call it Our Woodland Scroll because it's so big in real life:
