H E L L O ! My name is Naomi Shiek (pronounced CHIC).
I create papercut ketubot for private clients in the Nouveau Judaica style.
What is a ketubah, you ask? A KETUBAH is a decorative marriage covenant used and exhibited in Jewish, non-denominational and non-traditional weddings and commitment ceremonies wherein the couple's vows to each other are declared.
Today I listed this majestic black bird in my shop The Time Is Now. I had a lot of fun making him, since it's the first time I've done so many layers. It felt like building a puzzle. I got to do scallop feathers, too, which I love. Don't know why, but I just like the layering of them. Like my neon scallop notebook. I plan on making more black crows to keep this guy company. Now I just have to find the time to cut and glue all those feathers!
