client photos | Aaron & Jenni's Wedding

January 4, 2017

Over the course of my work, there have been clients that I've felt really connected with and appreciated the concept of the ketubah. Like a flash in the pan, they come and go, but the impression they leave is all kindness. Aaron is one such client. From the first email Aaron presented himself as a kind and devoted soul. His love for Jenni was obvious in every question and detail he wanted to get just right. He ordered a staple ketubah from MY SHOP called SUCCULENTS GARDEN, to be personalized with a custom monogram of his and Jenni's names.

We ended up enlarging the ketubah to 24 inches long to accommodate the text Aaron provided; a traditional Conservative Mizarachi text, which reads more poetic than the Ashkenazi version.

We worked together making the text just right, selecting the most authentic font for it, and I eventually manually manipulated the letters to match Aaron's reference text. It was fun to collaborate with a groom that felt the same about the minuet beauty of fonts as I do. I believe these details make the ketubah all the more special for them both.
