I create papercut ketubot for private clients in the Nouveau Judaica style.

What is a ketubah, you ask? A KETUBAH is a decorative marriage covenant used and exhibited in Jewish, non-denominational and non-traditional weddings and commitment ceremonies wherein the couple's vows to each other are declared.

New lasercut papercuts!

For 2013, WOODLAND PAPERCUTS and URBAN COLLECTIVE have decided to change our collaboration a bit. From now on all new papercut ketubot sold through Urban Collective will be lasercut! Our lasercuts are expertly made in the US by the fabulous Candyspotting, a studio specializing in lasercutting paper. The quality is superb, it's hard to tell the papercuts weren't cut by hand.

There are still handmade versions listed, so get them while you can, but all will be ultimately replaced by laser cut papercuts. And I'm sure I failed to announce them when they were first listed, but new designs are already available in the shop!

Art Nouveau Roses papercut ketubah, Vintage Summer Garden papercut ketubah, Vintage Butterflies papercut ketubah, and Polish Folk Flowers papercut ketubah are all available for purchase in the Urban Collective shop.

  1. These are nice laser cut paper designs. I believe some metal cutting industry are working to make this on metals as well. It's amazing how technology works right now, making all things possible.
